QuickView for Blender 3.4+ (Geometry Nodes Fields)
QuickView is an add-on that lets you quickly view nodes using the geometry nodes viewer. This add-on was primarily created to change the domain of the viewer however, it can also be used to quickly view nodes.
How to install:
- Go to Edit > Preferences... > Add-ons
- Click the Install... button.
- Navigate to wherever you downloaded the .zip file.
- Select the file and click Install Add-on.
How to use:
Press the V key to access a pie menu with all the domains. Then select the domain and the add-on will do the rest! This add-on reacts differently based on how many nodes you have selected. If you have no nodes selected, the add-on just changes the viewer to the selected domain. If you have one node selected, it tries to connect the geometry output of the node to the viewer. If there is no geometry output, it simply connects the outputted geometry to the viewer. If there are 2 nodes selected, the add-on intuitively connects the geometry and value to the viewer from the 2 nodes. I also have a video attached to the cover that demonstrates this add-on!
I made this add-on to quickly change domains due to the locked domains in the new viewer in blender 3.4. I felt like this will be useful to many of you, which is why I decided to release it! Have fun and let me know how it is!
